Re: Huntington Girls..
Walt Whitman is a good highschool. I think Huntington highschool has a bad rep.
My husband went to Walt Whitman and he lived in Huntington Station, on the border of Dix Hills. (The nicer part)

Re: Huntington Girls..
There are two high schools in Huntington.
I went to Walt Whitman. It's a pretty big school district it runs from Audobon Woods area (which is called West Hills) all the way over to Dix Hills border.
It's a pretty diverse high school it has poor areas to really wealthy areas.
Huntington High School is pretty big too (I believe) it runs from Pulaski to way north Huntington.
If you have any questions about the area, let me know

Re: Huntington Girls..
I went to Whitman too..but I knew a lot of people from Huntington High School. Both schools are good and every school you go to you'll have a mix of kids. My nieces are in the South Huntington school district now which is what Whitman is under.

Elwood is a really good schoool district - the high school is on the small side which is better
i grew up in huntington school district - the honors progrgrams are very good but overall the school does not have a good rep - the district is too diverse money wise - multi million dollar homes to the projects- and some of the kids from the multi-million dollar homes were the worst druggies and starting fights and kicked out of private schools
