Hunter 5 minute fan...my a$$!
OMG, this was NOT a 5 minute job. Aside from the fact that my DH had to re-do the electrical, install a box into the ceiling, re-plaster the ceiling so the medallion would lay flush, and many other things, this fan was the biggest PITA EVER!!! The pull chain alone took us 20 minutes to figure out. Yes, figure out! And he blames me for picking out the one that was one sale. No, I picked out the one I LIKED...the fact that it was on sale was just icing on the cake.

Anything that says "5 minutes", easy to install" or "simple setup" we KNOW is going to turn into an all-day affair!!

Re: Hunter 5 minute fan...my a$$!
OMG we had the WORST experience with a Hunter fan. No instructions, missing pieces, incorrect screws, no end cap to light, missing pull chains - WTH?
Needless to say we returned it & got another Hampton Bay, which we have no problems w/at all...simple installation.

He was SOOO ready to call it a loss and do the same.
Well, I took a picture. The medallion is there to cover up any imperfections on the ceiling. It's like a popcorn ceiling. We are going to get a shorter downrod. It's a *bit* too low. Image Attachment(s):
