Huggies vs. Pampers?
So Ive been looking to start buying diapers here and there just bc with twins on the way I know I'll fly through them. But I noticed Huggies tends to be about $4 cheaper for the same amount of diapers. Do you girls have any preferences? Also should you stick with one brand or is that something that I can switch around depending whats on sale? TIA!

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
As between the 2, I prefer Pampers - Huggies just never fit DD quite right and as a result would tend to leak. I think though this depends on your dc's body and you can't really tell that ahead of time. I loved Swaddlers - we've now graduated from them and I like Cruisers, but Earth's Best are actually my favorite for daytime and Fisher Price Nights for nighttime. Still hate Huggies - I even tried the overnights (which many people LOVE) and they leaked every single night I tried them. They're just not cut right for my DD for some reason but they could very well be fine for your kids. A lot of people on here also like Target and BJ's I believe.

Absolutely PAMPERS!!! Huggies have always leaked on both of my girls!!! However know that Luvs is just as good as pampers (made by same company) and cheaper!!

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
It depends on your DC. If you ask 10 people which one is "better", you'll get a dozen different responses.
For us, Huggies were much better than Pampers. Every DC is built and move differently. Usually, once you find one that works (at least for that size), you usually stick with it, but you can definitely try a few out, and if they all work, then you're in good shape.

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
DS is only 11 weeks, but we've used both pampers and huggies interchangeably, and have loved both!
We've done pampers swaddlers, pampers baby dry, huggies little snugglers...so far for us, diapers are diapers, and none have proved better than another.
trial and error!!! good luck :)

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
I started DS in the pampers swaddlers and i loved them. they were so soft..never had any issues. until they changed to this dry max sh*** and kids were getting terrible rashes, burns, etc. DS started to get a little red when i started using a new box, so i just switched to huggies little movers. I find they are just as good, no leaks, and no rashes.

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
Definitely trial & error. I love Pampers. I actually dont like Huggies AT ALL!
I felt that they are too bulky, DS always leaked & they weren't stretchy enough.

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
We were definitely Pampers people until they switched to Dry Max. I just didn't want to take the chance. So we switched to Huggies and REALLY like them! We have not had any leaks or problems at all.
We also use Target brand as well

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
We're using them inter-changeably right now. So far I haven't had an issue with either. I prefer Pampers Swaddlers, but we decided to try Huggies and so far no problem.

We started out using Pampers swaddlers but switched to huggies after a few months. I thought huggies were better on leaks.

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
I now use Huggies, DS leaked through Pampers all the time. I'm not saying Pampers are bad, they just didn't work for my child. Luvs also worked good for DS. It will really depend on your child. I would just get small packages of both and see what works best for yor DC.

Same here. We used Pampers swaddlers up til size 2, then switched to Huggies for size 3 and have bene using them for months now. Had no problems with either one, but I agree DD hardly ever leaks in Huggies.

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
Loved pampers swaddlers for DS! But after all the dry max drama, we switched to Huggies.
And being as paranoid as I am about stuff, we have been happily using Huggies Pure and Natural, and love them even more! They are so soft, hold in lots of pee and poop. DS STTN with them, he does massive early morning poops and we rarely had a leak, even when he had diarrhea.
But just have to mention that we always size up.

Same with us. We love huggies. We go back and forth bw the little movers and pure and natural. We have not had one blow out or leaky diaper since switching to Huggies.

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
When DD was an infant we used Swaddlers from Pampers. As a toddler I hated the Pampers Cruisers and we use the Huggies Supreme Little Movers. I never used the Pampers DRy Max that everyone is complaining about these days, so I can't comment, but . . . keep in mind lots of mommies who used Pampers did so before Dry Max.

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
Thanks for all the responses! It looks like everybody's different. So how should I go about stocking up on diapers before the babies are born? Buy a few boxes of a couple different brands and then just wait to see which ones work best for them? I know Im going to fly through them so that's why here and there Id like to start buying them, especially when there's coupons out or they're on sale.

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
I tried both and found that the huggies would leak a lot more... she'd soak right through them actually. Pampers were better and someone just bought me a pack of Luvs and so far so good on those...but I really think Pampers are the best for us...

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
Honestly, it really does depend on the baby. We used Pampers Swaddlers until DD outgrew the size 1s. She leaked out of size 2s, so we switched to Huggies, and have NEVER had a problem.

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
Huggies regular always leaked for us - we've always been a Pampers family (swaddlers then cruisers for both boys). My sister, however, swore by Huggies for all three of her girls - maybe it's a boy/girl thing?
Anyway, we do use Huggies overnights - they both leaked through anything else as soon as they started STTN.

You'd be surprised - I found a big box took me more time to get through than I thought it would and DD would always start outgrowing the size before the end. I would not buy more than 1 big box in one or two brands per size, even with twins, and I probably wouldn't buy past size 2 or 3 until you know what works anyway. Once they're here and you know what works and how quickly they're growing, it'll be a lot easier to pick diapers and you can get free overnight shipping from diapers.com so it's hard for me to run out - whenever I'm low, I just place an order. I mail in all my manufacturer's coupons, which they bank into my account and I have found the prices to be pretty good. Also, maybe it's just me, but for diapers, I get more coupons than I can use and find there are a lot of sales. BRU has those $7 coupons all the time and I get more coupons in the mail by being enrolled in the BRU rewards program and by having signed up for coupons with Pampers, Huggies (I like their wipes better), etc. I get a lot of junk mail too but I love all the coupons I get... now if only I had this problem with formula coupons unfortunately, I cannot get enough of those!

ITA only fisher price diapers worked for us. For whatever reason he leaked through everything else...

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
I love Pampers. For me, Huggies leak, especially during the night. They also have this funny smell. Loved, loved, loved the Pampers swaddlers. As for price, I buy by the case at BJs and they are exactly the same amount price wise for the exact same amount of diapers. I usually get coupons from Bjs too ETA: the pampers fit DD much better too. They have this tab on the side that the Huggies odnt have and I think it makes a bigg difference

Re: Huggies vs. Pampers?
The huggies leaked for us too. He had a few explosions before I switched hesitantly to the pampers dry max swaddlers. Since then no problems at all. They are much softer and fit his body better.
