HUGE window - how to treat it... need curtain advice.
Here is a partial picture of the window. It's 144". what is up in the picture is not up anymore, (this pic was from MLSLI when we bought the house).
Currently i have sheers and a valance up, but it looks bad. I can't figure out what kind of curtains to put up. i was thinking that i need something more bold.
my room is now light green, greenish couch (seen in second picture) and beige carpet.
Would you do long panels?
how do you decorate your large windows?
post pics if you have?
thanks! Image Attachment(s):

I have a big bay window and use tie up or balloon shades on a rod mounted above the window frame and sheers on tension rods in each window. It's an older window with a string and weight system to open the window, so we can't use anything that screws into the frame. I don't have any pictures, sorry!

We have the same exact window in our split, I have huge curtains tied back and a valance...we still need to get vieneese to go under so all our neighbors can't see in...(the vienesse, I mean by the pleated material gaudy shades that you see at catering halls)

keep the sheers and add pretty patterned curtain panels on each end.
ETA: what kind of shades do you have up?
