Okay, so I am thinking a little Babymoon in the fall.
Any recommendations for this region?
Interests: Nature Light hiking Sightseeing Cute town with shops and restaurants
I came across sleepy hollow- would this be a good choice?
Thanks!

Re: Hudson River Valley
I love the Hudson Valley.
There are several interesting spots off of Route 9, which hugs the Hudson River. The scenery up there is just gorgeous.
For cute towns I recommend Cold Spring.
There is Hyde Park with FDR's estate, which offers an interesting tour if you like that kind of thing.
There is also Dia Beacon, a large art gallery. The Culinary Institute. West Point and a million other lesser known historic sites - that region played a significant role in the Revolutionary War.
I'm sure there is hiking at Bear Mountain.
If you do a search you will probably find old posts providing more info.

Went to Tarrytown for a couple nights with DH a few years ago and it was a really cute town. Cute shops, restaurants, a farmers market.

Hyde Park and New Paltz are pretty close so you could hit up both towns. There is the Walkway Over the Hudson as well as Mohonk and Minnewaska for hiking. I would definitely add in apple picking too!
