Little uncomfortable... I took two advil about a half hour before the HSG. The cramping during the procedure were like bad AF cramps but the cramping pretty much ends by the time the procedure is done. It only takes about 5 - 10 minutes for the whole thing.
The dr. will insert a catheter and then basically takes some x-ray pictures to see that there are no blockages. You may have to turn slightly to one side and then the other during the procedure but again it's real quick. (Just to see that the dye runs through - again to prove that there are no blockages.)
