HSG and ovulation

Has anyone's ovulation been affected since the HSG? I normally would have ovulated by now, but I haven't. Or at least I think I haven't. Very wierd being I have ovulated like clockwork for the past 15 months.

How many days is it past your HSG? I've never heard of it affecting it, but I would imagine it's possible.

Hmmm. I did a search on some sites for you and everything is pretty much saying that it shouldn't interfere.

What are you doing to monitor ovulation? Do you have any other O symptoms?

I normally have significnat ovulation pains normally the same day every month, CD 12. I have not had that at all and its CD 14. Maybe it will be late, hopefully. Also CM, but I dont really notice that these past few days

Re: HSG and ovulation

I actually had an hsg on Friday 1/14 which was day 10 and I usually ovulate on day 12 or 13 but I didn't till day 15 this cycle. So my cycle was delayed a bit.Chat Icon

I wouldn't panic just yet. Give it another day or so. It's possible that even though the HSG didn't mess with your actual O, it may be messing with your O symptoms. I'd keep up the BDing if I were you. That's what the tech who did my HSG suggested. My OB said that many women get PG within 3 months of having one. Was not the case for me, but I have heard frequent stories.

It shouldn't interfere. Your O is controlled by hormones (an LH surge) and the HSG couldn't possibly mess with that. It's just a tube and dye.

Good luck this month! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
