HR girlies....
Now that I finally landed in a good company (hallelujah! ) I would like to get my PHR....
Can you let me know what is involved (classes, test , how long etc).
Thanks!

Re: HR girlies....
You can do a couple of things.
Back in the day I ordered the self-study program from SHRM and used that for my PHR.
They also have test-prep classes available if you want to take one of those.
I'm a certified test prep facilitator - I went through a program by SHRM to certify me to run the test prep courses and we run them for the HR folks in my company once a year.
So far I have a 100% passing rate for those in my classes.
I have materials that I could lend to you if you are interested. They are from the fall 2006/spring 2007 test but they should still be mostly applicable.
FM me if you have questions.
