How young is too young???
How young do you think it is for someone to be TOO young to do something?
Ex:
dating
My neice is 15 and has been seriously dating this little butt face for almost a year...he breaks up with her all the time to "hook up" with other girls.
Besides the fact I want to beat his head in...I want to also shake some sense into her for taking him back!
I just think 14 is too young to have to deal with this stuff already.
AND OMG!!! the stuff she tells me her friends are all doing!

I think 15 is wayyyyyyyyyyy to young to be dating.
I know there is only so much a parent can do to stop it but parents really need to be on top of these things..
Strict curfews etc..
Sometimes at 15 though girls and boys lie about what they are doing in hopes to " sound cool".. lol

UM...her mother lets them hang out in the house ALONE in the family room on a separate floor... AND she lets her go to his house full days at a time...
Her little sister rats her out all the time that she is on the phone/computer until 4:30 in the morning!
I personally say 16 is a nice age to START dating.

I think now that 14 is too young to date...but at 14/15 I fought my parents tooth and nail to date....go to the prom...movies...ect.

I don't think 14/15 is too young to date. Dates to the Pizzaria or the Movies is good, especially in groups. I would never leave children that young alone in a room or alone in a house, that's not appropriate.

I think it depends on the girl. I can see 15 or 16 but definitely not 14. I wasn't allowed to start dating until I was 16 and boys were NEVER allowed in my room. I thought my parents were overly strict, but now I think maybe they had the right idea.

I'd say 15 or 16 is ok to date..thats what ya do in high school. But I would never allow them to be left alone in a room. Nowadays, you here of 11 year olds turning up pregnant..its scary..but times have definitely changed, even since we were growing up. I was never allowed to be alone in any room of my house with a guy. Geez, I am married and when DH and I went to stay with my dad last May, it was still kinda awkward sharing the room with him. We actually joked about it and my dad said he had to stay in a seperate room.

Our 16 year old niece is dating an 18 year old. She is mature for her ags, he seems nice. But still...she is 16 and he is a freshman in college! If I was her mother I don't know if I would allow that. Then I think about when I was 15 dating a 17 year old...same age difference, but at least we were both in High School still!
However, alone in a room behind closed doors? NOT on yuor life!

I think 15 is a fine age to date. I think at that age - kids are driven by their parents to one location and picked up later on. Maybe things have changed... but all my dates at 15 were in public places- movies, mall, etc... I was never allowed to be alone in my room with the door closed in high school.
Even DH couldn't sleep in my room with me while we were together 4 years (and I was 27) until one day we had so many people staying over that we just ran out of beds...

I cant imagine being in highschool and not being allowed to date...
However..It does depend on the child... and Im talking dates to the mall, movies, stuff like that...
I dont think a boy was ever allowed in my bedroom..no matter how old I was!!!
