How would a LI girl get to Parsippany NJ using mass transit?

What's the best/easiest way to get to Parsippany, NJ from Long Island using mass transit?

LIRR to Penn Station?

Then what?

I would check NJ Transit - I think you might have to go to Port Authority and get a bus.

No trains to Parsippany, you'd have to get a bus from the Port Authority. If you go to www.njtransit.com you can plan out an itinerary and find bus schedules.

Chat Icon Chat Icon sorry, I used to be an LI girl going to Parsippany before I moved out here! Just brought back memories. I usually drove....but DH usually took mass transit to see me on LI.

but what I'd do is take LIRR, then walk up or subway to Port Authority and take the Route 46 Lakeland bus.

Lakeland bus is a different line than NJ Transit.

Where in Parsippany do you need to go?

HTH!
Chat Icon It will be a long trip...but just bring your iPod. Depending on where you are on LIRR- not sure how long that will be, but the bus is usually about 45 minutes.
