How to to get speech eval from public school
Does anyone know the regulations that once you put to a school district a request for speech evaluation, How long they have to get this done or is there no time limit? If they have an IEP do the rules change at all? Thank you! It took 4 months and wondering who I can report this to.

How to to get speech eval from public school
I think it is supposed to be 60 days or less from initial request to recommendation.

Four months is a long time unless you're looking for a specialist or a bilingual evaluator

It's either 60 or 90 school days not calendar days.

How to to get speech eval from public school
It's 60 days but it had to be from when you send in your request in written form. If it was just verbal then there is no proof of when the request was given. Everything should always be on paper/email. You can file a state complaint - just google special education state complaints for a template.
