How to go on a vacation using baby bottles
Does anyone have any tips on traveling/going on vacation while using baby bottles?
We use Dr. Browns if anyone has any input regarding them or any other suggestions that would be great.

How to go on a vacation using baby bottles
what kind of vacation? Hotel? House? beach?
It really wasn't any different than being at home. I brought a little travel dish soap. Brought my bottle brush and washed them in the bathroom sink if no kitchen area.
I also premearsued water in them then used my formula holder and portioned of the formula. Just made them as we needed. room temp. If you need to warm, ask any restaurant for hot water.
or get a thermos and pour hot water in there and use that.

Re: How to go on a vacation using baby bottles
I am a little uncomfortable washing them in the bathroom sink. Plus sometimes the sinks are so small. So I was thinking of bringing some kind of basin to put the water in, wash them then rinse so they don't have to go into the actual bathroom sink. My other concern is bringing a bottle that has formula in it then has to sit in the heat the rest of the day. I know I will wash it but it grosses me out to have to have it sit all day while out until getting back to the hotel room. I guess I am making something out of nothing but I just hate not having my kitchen.

How to go on a vacation using baby bottles
I travel with about 3-4 and wash them right after I use it. I bring a small bottle of baby dish soap (babyganics, etc). I also travel with the oxo travel thing. Let me find a pic for you.

The bottle sitting outside does get gross (especially small parts). Rinse ASAP even if you can't wash.
I had no issues doing it in bathroom and even restaurant bathroom sinks. You aren't touching the sinks with the bottles. I put them on towels to dry. All kids survived!

Yes exactly. The bottles never actually touched any part of the sink. Just under the faucet while I held it. Same water as bathtub lol. Def rinse them as soon as you can. I also soak the bottles before I clean them.

I used to wash them in the bathroom sink (or kitchen sink if we had a big hotel room) and then just lay them out to dry on paper towels or towels. You can also just rinse them out in a bathroom during the day so they don't get gross until you can properly wash them in your hotel room.

We used the oxo thing pictured in a post above and washed bottles each night in the hotel sink. Rinsed bottles right away. I also usedan disposable bottles one trip. They were ok.

We'd get a suite so there was a dishwasher in the room. Took enough bottles for 1 day and washed them every night.

Re: How to go on a vacation using baby bottles
We've traveled a lot with bottles with no issues. And as far as rinsing, even at home we forget half the time. I've left bottles in the diaper bag for I don't even know how long, days. Never had an issue. Have a great trip!

Re: How to go on a vacation using baby bottles
I bought a bottle brush, soap, a sponge, and the bottle rack with me. I used the bathroom sink in the one hotel that didnt have a small kitchenette. I was grossed out thinking about using the bathroom sink, but like others said, it was fine. I rinsed the bottles in the sink and then put them on the rack (outside the bathroom) immediately.
I also left the bottles unwashed until I got back to the hotel room and had no issues. I don't know about Dr. Brown bottles, though, I know they supposedly have a bunch of parts. My bottles are only the bottle, nipple, and ring.

How to go on a vacation using baby bottles
just went to jamaica with dd and we use dr. browns. I have the oto tot on the go drying rack (someone put a pic in a post above), and I bought a travel size dish soap. We stayed at an all inclusive and used the water bottles there and brought a couple of cans of formula powder. If you're flying, you can make a couple of bottles and put them in a bottle cooler to keep them cold. They will let you bring them through security.
We washed in the bathroom sink. I would give her a bottle when she woke up in the hotel room, wash it, and then head to the pool. I had a formula dispenser filled with formula for 3 more bottles for the day and prefilled the bottles with water and had them in the diaper bag. We would rinse the bottle out if we were staying by the pool. However, she would take an afternoon nap at some point and we would go to the room to get ready for dinner so we went back to the room about 3 times throughout the day anyway. I would just wash whatever used bottles I had when I got up to the room. It wasn't so bad

How to go on a vacation using baby bottles
i brought dish soap, bottle brush and papertowels. i would wash them once we got back to the hotel before dinner. one hotel we frequent a lot has a small sink next to the fridge so i use that. most hotel bathroom sinks are outside of the bathroom so it doesn't bother me too much.
i used Playtex drop in bottles. much less to wash. have fun!

Re: How to go on a vacation using baby bottles
I just got back from vacation & use Dr. Browns bottles. What I did was I brought my bottle brush & babyganics bottle soap which I use at home & used a small basin to wash them in. I also purchased the microwave steam sterilizer bags. they are $5.99 for 5 bags and each bag can be used 20 times. If your hotel has a microwave I would suggest ordering them.
