How Soon After C-Section Can You...
Get out of bed? My last was unplanned at 7PM. Pretty sure they got me up and out of bed around 7AM next morning. When can you eat solids? I had liquids around 9AM the next morning. A friend said 24 hours for both things!
Mine was 3.5 years ago, and my preggo brain is failing me!

How Soon After C-Section Can You...
Had my c-section at 10:30 am.. Was eating solids for dinner that night. Didnt get out of bed until 7am the next morning when they removed the catheter.

My doc said he wants me out of bed and walking six hours after my scheduled c-section. Since it is scheduled, a spinal is done, not an epidural. So it's not constant medication. At least that is how it was explained to us.
As for food, I have no idea!

I just had a section on last Tues. I was out of bed the following morning. I was eating solids on Tues night for dinner.
Just wanted to add that it was a scheduled c with a spinal.

I don't remember about eating, but I had my c section at midnight and was out of bed (into a wheelchair) to go to the NICU to BF my DD by 8am the next morning. I was waking around by that night when they took my catheter out. I had a great recovery.

I had my csection at 11am. I got out of bed that evening. I had nurses come and help me walk to a chair, even though I still had the catheter in.
I was able to drink liquids that night, though for a while after the csection I was only given ice chips.
You can't eat solids till you pass gas --- although that also depends on your doctor.

With DD1 she was born at 7:30pm, so they got me out of bed the next morning.
With DD2 she was born in the morning and I think they had me up by that afternoon

DD1 was 830pm....got out of bed next morning to go sit up in chair and was able to eat breakfast. Catheter and IV came out that night, do I walked around the next day.
DD2 was 930 am....was able to eat solids for dinner. Walked to chair to sit upright that night. Unhooked the next morning and was able to walk around
Recovery for DD 2 so much better, because I was walking around early. She is 12 days old and I feel great

I had my c-section at 3pm. At 3am they removed my catheter and I got out of bed for the first time - so 12 hours later. By breakfast the next morning I was eating again. Not a lot because I just wasn't hungry, but I didn't really have food restrictions. They just told me to go slow and do what I felt.

DS was born via C-section at 4:20 pm. I was in recovery until 11 pm because my temp had dropped to 95 degrees. I didn't get up to walk until about 8 the next morning. I didn't eat solids until I pooped which was over 24 hours. DS was born Tuesday afternoon. My first solid food was Thursday morning. I drank liquids all day Wednesday. They said no solids until you pass gas. I asked the nurse if that meant farting (TMI - since I was doing so like crazy) and she said no, that I had to pass stool before I could eat solids.

They wanted me out of bed as soon as possible. I think it was around 24 hours before I even tried (it hurt so much). They also didn't let me have solids until dinner that night (maybe about 12 hours after?)

My friend (who is an RN in a high-risk OB practice) told me to get up out of bed as soon as I could to walk around and I did. It wasn't until the day after I had the surgery though because I wasn't moved into my room until 11:00 p.m. or something.

My c setion was at about 4 am and they had me up and walking by 8 am. So 4 hours later! I was shocked at first but I'm glad they did it. I also had no food restrictions. I was eating a full breakfast also 4 hours later.

I had my CS at 8am I was up that evening walking to the bathroom (with help of course). I was cleared to eat that night. After that, I walked the baby back to the nursery every night (which was at the other end of the hallway from where my room was). It was good to get up and move around.

with both mine it was the next Am, but my first was at 9:30 am and my second was at 8:40pm. With the second, the dr came in to remove my roommates epi and I jumped all over that and had him take mine out too. I dont think he was supposed to yet, but I couldnt wait to get up!

Food and out of bed exactly 12 hrs later...........even with catheter still in. I've had two scheduled C-sections, same protocol each time for me.

I had my section at 2:30pm was walking around that evening. I couldn't take solids until the next evening, I had an adverse reaction to the spinal as It was leaving my system.
Oh and be prepared to itch like crazy the next day

I had solids that night. I didn't have any stomach problems after the c-section. I couldn't get out of bed until the next day when they took the cath out.

With my son I had a csection at 7pm and wasn't allowed to eat solids until the following afternoon at lunch. I also think it was a little after lunch that they tried to get me up - hurt so much I wouldn't move  hoping thus time around is better!!!
