How slippery are sprinkler parks / spray parks? (for 20 month olds)
Hi, I have some things to do today so DH & MIL will be taking care of our 20 month old twins. She suggested some sprinkler park in Port Washington. I've never been to a place like this. My kids are very daring / unaware of danger. And MIL & DH are not nearly as cautious as I am.
I'm nervous about the kids slipping or getting knocked over by bigger kids.
Can you share any experiences, please? Is the floor like the bottom of a pool? Or is there special non-slip flooring usually?
TIA!!

I've never been to that one but the one at TOBAY has a rubber padded floor. DD wore water sandals with a grip and she was fine. She's only 12 months and absolutely loved it. We stayed in one area that looked like it was more geared toward the smaller kids but the bigger kids were fine and generally looked out for the little ones.

The flooring is a regular rubbery/rough textured one like you would find in other playgrounds. Though fair warning, sometimes it is kind of mellow and quiet and other times, a lot, it is very very crowded with all different aged kids, so be prepared! You also have the other playground equipment there should it prove to be too nutsy.

They should be fine. If you have water shoes for the kids, I'd recommend having them wear them. The playground won't be overrun with older kids if they go during the day when most are in school.
