How old was your DD when she got her first dollhouse?
My older daughter will be 3 in December. The younger one will be 2 in January. I would like to get DD1 a dollhouse for her bday this year, but would I be better off waiting until next year? My only real concern is DD2. I'm sure they will play together, and they will be sharing a room. Do I have to be concerned about choking hazards with a dollhouse?

We bought DD#1 a dollhouse for Christmas right before she turned 2. We bought big pieces to go with it and put away anything small that could have been a choking hazard. She loved playing with it.

AJ will be 3 next Monday (not this Monday coming). We are celebrating her bday this saturday as well as next weekend (inlaws)
She'll be getting her First Dollhouse tomorrow. I got a whole bunch of furniture off ebay to fill it with for $19.99 and the house itself I got from the Target sale for $8.09 (after tax). So $28 for the house and gear. The house itself runs $29.99 normally so I think I got a great deal! haha
ETA: its the Loving Family Dollhouse .. So I think she has way too many pieces of furniture. Two computer desk, a spinny chair, rocking chair, to dining chairs, two vanity desks.. ugh

My mom bought DD the fisher Price My First Dollhouse for her 2nd birthday. The pieces are really big so no issue with choking hazards but I also think it will be kind of babyish for her in a couple of years and we'll have to get another one.

We bought DD the Loving Family dollhouse for Christmas right before she turned two. There are not a lot of small parts that come with this one.

DD is 21 months and just got the Fisher Price My First Dollhouse. I didn't think she'd really play with it, but she LOVES it.

I bought the Loving Family dollhouse for my DD this Christmas - it was a month before she turned 3.
My 1 year old DS plays with it too.

good question, I was wondering this too. I will also prob get DD one around 2-3. She is 18 months now and loves playing with the little people so i think she would love a dollhouse
