How often do you have your oil burner serviced?

We purchased the house in June.
A brand new oil burner was installed and serviced in April. Since the house was vacant and we haven't been using the heat do you think we should get a cleaning/service? It was serviced 6 months ago...

ETA - how much does it cost? we don't have a contract we just buy oil when we need it - can we just call the people who installed it?

We get it looked at just before the beginning of winter (we had someone here last week) and I think once before the end of the winter, getting it ready to kind of be dormant for summer...for peace of mind, have it done if it will make you comfortable...

Every 6 months. I don't know how much it costs though because it is part of our contract.

It was put in the year before we bought the house, so it is 4 years old.

Once a year with a oil contract. We have no idea how old it is, but the technician stated it's running at 85% efficiency. I know it's not the best, but it's working.

As for cost, we can normally negotiate it for free with signing up for an oil contract, or the Co. taking money off the cost. I think it range from $100-150.
