How often do you clean your file cabinet?

And what do you do with the papers/bills/statements/etc?

I know it's been asked but I think it's good to get fresh ideas.

shredder!!!! usually about once a year or when I really need room

i am almost entirely online so i have very few papers - i can keep years worth bc of that

after a year or so and then I shred everything

Once a year i try and go through and see what should be kept I usually shred the oldest stuff and keep all of the new stuff
