Re: how often..
DD is a year old and we try and make it a part of our routine every night. There are 4 books she loves looking through. While I don't read them word for word, I point out a lot in the pictures.

how often..
My son is 2.5 yrs old. We read books all the time. We read them because his speech therapist started him on them and now he is obsessed. He would read them from the time he wakes up til he went to bed if I let him.

DD is 14mo. I feel like all I do is read books her! This is all she wants to do (well this, color and eat). Sometimes she flips pages too quickly for me to read every word but I read what I can. DH and I were both total bookworms as kids (and still try to read as much as time allows, which ends up being like one page a day these days), so we are not totally surprised to see we have a little book worm on our hands!

Re: how often..
All day throughout the day. Sometimes one will sit for the story, other times they want to flip through it and "see".

Re: how often..
I would like to read to her more often, but our reality is only 1 or 2 times a week. When we do read it is usually 3 short books.

Every night we read about 2-4 short ones (she's only 8 months). It's part of her bedtime routine since she was probably 3 months. I read to her sometimes during the day and we go to age appropriate book readings at the library and book store too.

Re: how often..
3-4 before nap, 3-4 before bed and then throughout the day as requested. She is 2.5 and loves books. DH jokes we have the largest residential collection of toddler/kid books cause we have so many
Eta ds is 7mo and we only read 1-2 a day, if even. He is in the phase where he tries to eat the book and ends up mad at the book

Re: how often..
It varies by the day, usually 3 or 4 books like 3x per day. Sometimes more, sometimes we don't get to hardly any. On days we don't get to read much, I'm grateful for her bath books, bc that's a great way to get reading in when there's otherwise no time.

Dd is 16 months old and loves to flip through her books and look at the pictures. Sometimes she lets me read them to her but usually she flips the pages too fast for me to read all the words so I just make up a story to go with the pictures.

Re: how often..
We read randomly during the day but every night we read 3 books before bed as part of his routine. He's 2. Just started looking at books w my 4 month old & when she's older I'll incorporate it into her bedtime routine as well. :)

My DS is 15 months and he loves to sit and 'read' by himself (flip through the pages). He will bring me books constantly and some he lets me read, and others we just point at the pictures. There are days we read every single book on his shelf.
