How much would you spend or give...
for a friend's son's 1st birthday. The party is in a restaurant. Only DD and I will be attending but I'll sign DH and DS's names on card too.

My standard gift is a toy and an outfit so whatever that amounts to. Usually between $50 and $75. My new go-to gift is a ballpit with the extra balls (yes my friends love me!) because it's a major hit with my DS and all of his little friends.
