how much to fix vinyl siding?

When direct tv intalled our satellite, they anchored one aprt to the vinyl siding..which is not acceptable to the condo association...(i did not evne notice it--it is a small bracket)

We are not being told we are responsible for haiv ghte siding repaired...they gave us the name fo the contract that hs to do it...

does anyone know how much this would cost? Would theya hve to replace the whole piece or jsut like patch a spot where it was damaged/dented?

Please let me know..I am so bummed because I told DH I did not want it to begin with and he insisted!

If you can find the matching siding you may be able to cut it and pop the piece in yourself. It's pretty simple. Ask them at Home Depot or Lowes how it's done and they can probably help.

ETA, if you have someone do it I can't imagine it would be too expensive. He'll probably charge you a high labor rate just for coming out and getting the material too, but we had the entire end of our house redone (about the size of a 1-car garage), including replacing trim above the window, rotted board underneath, fixing concrete and replacing all siding and I think it was around $1500. Fixing just one small piece of siding shouldn't be much, but I'm guessing $100 - $150 for time and trouble for a small job.
