How much is too much??
I am 90% sure I will just have 1 registry at 1 store. I currently have 131 items on there, and want to add a few more items (like sheets). Is it possible I have too much stuff on there? I have asked friends, who are moms to look it over, but that was before DH and I added a carp load of stuff this past weekend. I have essentials, diapers, wipes, bedding, furniture, bath, etc. And used the store's list as a guide, but afraid I went "crazy" and dont want guests to see that and think I am asking for a lot. Any thoughts? Is 131 items too much??
A coworker who is due 2/13 is registered at the same store, and only has 68 items. And another coworker due 2/6/ same store, has 49 items!

I think you should put whatever you need, want, or like. I love having a large selection of things to purchase for people.

Well I think it is a good idea myself since I don't expect a lot of gifts, then I will go and get what is left myself. This way you have everything in one place.

Add as much as possible! I had like 200 things on mine! I also had a lot of little cheap things and some people made up baskets with a lot of that stuff. And then, after my shower, we used our gift cards to get other stuff that was left.
Basically - you can never have too much!

I agree, have what you want on it. It gives people more choices so they can decide what they want to get you and all will be able to find something in their price range

I am due 5/3 and I have 65 items on my one and only registry.
BUT I didn't register for diapers and wipes and kept clothes to a minimum, because in my circle, people buy these things anyway.
Add it if you think you need it, doesn't mean people will buy it for you
Also, I am using my registry as my own list of what I need to buy after I have a shower.

Re: How much is too much??
I personally like seeing full registries because it gives me more options as a guest. Each guest has their own budget and/or preference for type of gift so having a lot of things on there is great for everyone. And honestly, I have yet to ever hear anyone comment on too many items on a registry but I have had aunts grumble at showers when there was not enough selection. Put anything and everything that you can think of on the registry. People will get what they want/can and the rest will be on the list for you to take care of once the shower is over...plus you should get a discount on those things remaining.

I had a lot of my registry as well...even if its not all bought, you could go back after your shower and purchase what you really think is necessary
