How much does your baby weigh?
It doesn't bother me when people ask. It's the response I get when I tell them" I don't know"
REALLY? YOU DON'T KNOW? WHY NOT? DO YOU NOT TAKE HER TO THE PED? BLAH BLAH BLAH
Well excussssssssssseeeeeeee the fudge out of me for being a FTM who doesn't take their baby to doctor for every little thing they do and get them weighed so I can write it in my journal.
Do they want me to have some kind of baby scale at home to weigh her every week!?!?!?!? 
She gets weighed and measured every SIX weeks. DEAL WITH IT!!!!!

How much does your baby weigh?
I'd prob just tell them how much she weighed at her last appt. I'm sure that's what they mean anyway.
I'm a FTWM as well but know how much DD was at her last appt.

When people ask me, I just say I don't really know, or I'm yet to go to her ped for the most current appt. Whatever.. who cares. DD was a peanut when she was born and filled up nicely  as she got bigger and the worst was my MIL even she means no harm. I gave her percentiles.. I;m like go figure it out now..

I always tell them how much he weighed at his last appointment. However I was curious to see how much he weighed since then (its been about 5 weeks) so I stepped on a scale with him for an estimate LOL

Just wait......it doesn't end with the weight. If you do not remeebr every first then people will make comments. My DS is getting hsi teeth and I am nto writing it down. First steps.....I don't know, know around when but no the date.
I am not the type of mom to write all this down and I promise you my DS will not care what date he got his first tooth.

I don't know how many weeks old my baby is. I only know in months.
I don't know her height/weight either. Forget it - now that she's 6 months - since there was no 5 month visit, I have NO earthly idea.
I can't believe people would even give you flack about it.

I always said what it was at the last appointment and rounded it up to the next whole number so it was easy to remember. HTH

yep..like sit up unassisted or crawl for instance..I always thought how do people remember this stuff! I actually felt guilty that I didn't remember these things!

Sorry for crashing, but I just read this and am shaking my head.
People actually ask this ? I've been around a lot of babies in my lifetime, but have never asked that question.
It doesn't matter to me what a baby/child weighs. It is just a rude question, and an even ruder response.
Next time someone asks, just ask back what do YOU weigh ? If the person is stupid enough to answer, answer back my baby weighs a lot less.

I'm the same way- I have a general idea- but that's about it.
I forgot what she weighed at her last visit too- back in July. Can't recall at all

Ummm, the lady who sold me my eye glasses asked me if I had a c section. People ask weird and say odd things when it comes to being pregnant/ having a baby! Lol!!

someone asked me recently what ds's first work was and when he said it. my answer" no idea. i feel like he's always been talking and can't remember a time when he hasn't"
to the weight question my answer was always, want to hold him and find out? DS was always in the 90% so most people decline as he was not easy to hold.
