how much do you spend on favors?

This is the first year that DD is having a birthday party and I am curious as to what people generally spend on favors? DD will be 4.

not too much. I usually pick up a few things from Fivebelow or Party City, whatever fits the birthday theme.

Depends on the amount of kids and what age. For their 1st party which was close friends and family I spent more. For classmates parties with tons of kids I spent less, but I still like something significant they can really use. No cheap tiny toys or candy. I did big water shooters that were $3 each and a huge hit. Got books for each kid about $2 each and put it in a shovel and pail $1 each and threw in sidewalk chalk (4 pieces 50 cents each).

I have also done hooded towels that wound up being $6 each (using BBB coupons).

So all that said I'd say anywhere between $3 - $6/$7.

I like to stay at about $5 per child. I always end up with a lot of kids so budget needs to be factored in as well. Ive always done well with doing useful items aa favors. I know i prefer it as well as a parent instead of a bag of cheap toys im going to toss.

Last year I got cups with straw on clearance from disneystore.com I just checked it out now & this year as of now the dalamation cups are 1.99 thats a Great deal

I quit doing favors.

Yes, it's not the popular thing to do, but I hate favors, always toss them when I get them & stopped giving them.
