How much do you spend for vacation
I know there is a huge range but just curious what I should look to budget for a modest vacation for a family of 4 for one week for flights, hotels and rental car to SC. I know activities and meals will be in addition when we get there.

If you are staying by the beach it might end up being cheaper to rent a condo/small beach house for the week than paying for a hotel. Plus then you will at least have a kitchen to do breakfast/lunch there instead of going out and spending money for all 3 meals.

How much do you spend for vacation
Where in South Carolina are you going? THere are lots of condo rentals in the MYrtle Beach area which are great fpr travelling with families (full kitchen multiple rooms, etc).

This is based on a family of 4. For a weekend away it is anywhere from 500-1000 for a driving vacation. For a week away including airfare, hotel, car rental, activities, food and spending money 3000-4500.

I would average $250-350 per person for the flight. Around $200-300 for rental car. And probably in the range of $200 per night for hotel.
Total = $2600-3100 with food and entertainment additional.
