How much do you spend annually on clothes?
Including accessories - belts, shoes, purses, and all clothes - what would you estimate you spend annually?
Do you tend to do a spree based on seasons or buy things 1 or 2 at a time?
I put the poll in seasons/months just to help estimate as if you are like me, you have never actually added it up! Obviously you spend more some months and less others.
Just curious

I estimate I spend about $2K / year (but I don't really keep track)
I buy a few things at a time, but I'm sure it adds up.

I chose less than 1k but its actually even less than that. I hate shopping but I do love clothes / accessories. I am on the bigger side of the scale these days and for me, its no fun trying to find clothes that fit me properly.
Once I fit back into my size 2, I will prob be a shopping fanatic.

I don't keep track- but I am a big bargain hunter and I am not really into labels. Most of my things are from Kohls, Gap, Ann Taylor Loft, Marshalls. And with the exception of Marshalls I only shop when there are great sales or I have coupons. I am guessing I am between $1K and $1,500- but that includes outerwear and shoes.

I go to the shopping most sat's. Its mommy time. I love bargains on designer stuff especially bags so those add up. I also work in a fashion concious industry so I have to be on trend. I say 3k yearly.

Including my kids, DH and myself I spent about 1500 on all clothing, shoes, pocketbooks and outerwear last year.

Thanks for responding - this is interesting for me because I am a big bargain shopper too - always use coupons, frequent the outlets, etc.
We are taking a trip and I wanted to get some new clothes and I realized that although I think I don't spend a lot, I really do. We did a big shop last weekend and there are still a few items left on my list.
I buy probably 2+ new pairs of shoes each season. Between work, casual, running, boots, heels, etc.
Then when you think about work clothes, casual clothes, basics (socks, undies, etc), workout wear, etc...
It adds up way too quick!

I hardley never shop for myself. I'd say less than $300 per year. It's awful. I hate my clothes and most of my accessories. Once I get on my feet after this divorce, I'm gonna go on a little spending spree.

Same here--my total wouldn't be too high, b/c I just don't have that money, but I probably send more on makeup than I do on shoes.

ugh i dont want to think about it..thousands.
worth mentioning that right now we have no kids, 2 incomes and low expenses.
in addition
i work in a corporate enviroment where i hope to continue up the ladder.
perception is everything and i have been trying especially hard to make my outward appearance as put together as possible.
i'm buying pricier pieces, too. things that last longer...and always classic. i match those with trendy accesories/watches to keep my look updated.
unfortunately right now im at the height of my wardrobe evolution...and also in the best financial position in my life -so ive been sending a lot more lately.
