Re: How much did you spend on your Bathroom Renovation?

We haven't done it yet- but we've gotten quotes to totally gut and redo our 5x7' bathroom and move some pipes higher in the basement (so we can put a ceiling down there when we finish it).

For labor and basic materials only we were quoted between $7900 and $10,800. We will be buying tiles (we are going to tile floor to ceiling and have a tiled shower stall), fixtures, accessories and DH will be doing the electrical work.

I was hoping to do it for alot less- but DH doesn't want to do anything but the electrical work and he has expensive taste.

HTH.

ETA: It will look something like this when completed- only with a pedestal sink:

ETA2: These quotes also include replacing a full sized window to one with textured privacy glass (we don't want to have to alter the outside of the house to have a smaller window or remove it altogether- it will be in the shower Chat Icon and face my backyard on the 1st floor.)

Re: How much did you spend on your Bathroom Renovation?

We are remodeling a 7x8 bathroom now but decided not to use contractors.

The contractor costs we got were 4K-7K. This did not include the tub, tiles, toilet, vanity, mirrors, towel bars, lighting etc. IT was labor, sheet rock, plywood, etc.

We did a total gut of the bathroom, adding some outlets, moving the sinks ever so slightly.

We did ours for just under $6k I think- but DH did it himself (with the help of some friends when needed)

The quotes listed by previous posters are in line with what we found to for quality work from licensed contractors.
