How Much Did You Spend on Furniture?

If you don't mind sharing

The three pieces I like total $2,264.78 with shipping + delivery. Just wondering how outrageous that is because IMO it's a lot of money and it's not what I wanted or expected to spend.

I'm not ready to buy the furniture yet but next month after my 20 week scan I think we are going to seriously start looking. Right now I'm just looking online to get an idea of what I like and prices.

I saw a set on JCP for under 1k but I'm not sold. The set I like is from PBK and I can't get it out of my head

we were buying our furniture ourselves and we had to recarpet and paint the room so i didnt want to spend a lot.
our crib was 199 and the dresser/changer combo was 400 i think. they are davinci kalani collection and i got free shipping from hayneedle.com

ETA: the crib is a convertible crib and came with the conversion set

We bought our crib at Target for $299 and out dresser separate for $299. The bookshelf was mine already. I refused to spend a fortune on this furniture when I can see myself replacing it all after my kids grow out of it.

We didn't buy ours yet but the crib is jsut over $400 and the dresser is almost $500. So somewhere int he $1K range. I am only getting those 2 pieces

The set we have our eye on so far would run us about 700 for the crib, changing table and dresser.

A lot We got two pieces only - the convertible crib and a 3-drawer dresser - and it cost $2,200. But that does include the conversion kit, the mattress and delivery/set-up.

ETA: We didn't have to buy a rocker/glider because we already have one but I spent $500 on a new slipcover.

These items can have a pretty wide range.

We are spending about $400 on the crib (includes convertible piece for toddler bed), $200 for the mattress.

buying a matching drawer chest and bookcast from ikea for ~$150. If budget is a concern, get your hands on the baby bargains book to read about recommendations at all price levels.

we went to Behr's and ordered the convertible crib, conversion kit, changer, tall dresser, nightstand and mattress for $2200 total including tax and delivery. i'm not sure how many pieces you are looking for or if you want to go convertible but we felt the price was good for the amount of furniture, quality (all solid wood and excellent recommendations from Baby Bargains) and the hope that the baby has this furniture for many years. the manufacturer is Baby Dreams.

630$ on 2 cribs and a dresser. 120$ on revamping the closet which we took the doors off of so it is now part of the room. Oh and $160 on a glider

We spent 2100 on a crib, dresser, and cradle from Bellini. This will be the 3rd baby going thru this set. So far, it still looks like new. Worth every penny.

We bought a Munire set from Behr's for DS, it was around $2300. We got another Munire set for this DC. It's supposed to be lifetime furniture, so if it holds up then it is worth it!

I had actually estimated 2500 without knowing anything about baby furniture and DH told me I was nuts But doesn't seem that way by many of you ladies...

Ideally, I would like to spend under 2000 but DH and I plan on having more than one kid so if it looks like something that will last, maybe we will spend up to 2500.

we spent $1500 on the Eastside Collection by Babi Italia at Babies R Us. However, the pieces retailed for about $2000 (no delivery/setup) but we waited until we had a coupon for $350 off (if you bought 3 pieces) and opened the Babies R Us credit card (which is a mc and can be used anywhere) for an additional 10% off. So, we save about $500.

Anyway, this is what was included in our $1500.

- Lifetime crib (turns into toddler bed and eventually full size bed)

- Dresser/changer combo

- Tall Dresser - 5 drawer

- Conversion Kit (to turn crib into full size bed)

- Nightstand

Thank you all so much for your replies.

Out of curiousity does anyone know the price range of Bellini furniture? I'm only asking because my in-laws had offered to purchase either our crib or dresser because they did the same for all of their other grandchildren. I know all of the furniture was purchased at Bellini.

I feel a little uncomfortable taking money from my in-laws and we are planning on buying everything ourselves but I'm kind of curious to know how much they've spent previously. I can't seem to find Bellini prices online. I wouldn't want to go above what they've spent on the other kids if we decided to let them buy us anything.

We spent $150 on the crib and $181 on the changer through JC Penny, way more higher quality than DD's furniture, I had some awesome discount codes so I saved about $300.

Our furniture for baby #1 was from Land of Nod and for baby #2 from pottery barn kids. We were lucky enough to have a very generous MIL/mother who purchased all our furniture but both sets were around 2K.

We ordered the Munire Newport set and got 3 pieces...the liftime crib, tall dresser, and 6 drawer dresser. After taxes and delivery it was about 2,300. It came with the mattress.

Including delivery, setup, conversion kit, crib and two dressers it was @ $1800. We went to BBB and used a 20% off coupon for each piece so we saved a lot there.
