How many weeks were you or will you be at your baby shower (if you know when it is)?

How late is too late for a baby shower?

I was 32 weeks at my shower. It's hard to say how late is too late for a shower. I think it depends on the person. For me personally, beyond 32 or 33 weeks would've been too late.

I was 35 1/2 weeks and felt great. All downhill after that though lol.

I was 32 weeks. I think you could probably have it as late as 36-38 weeks with the caveat that you could potentially go into labor before then. I physically felt fine to go to the party but I would probably have worried that the baby would already be there.

I was 34 weeks which was fine other than I had my dd in the summer of 2010 which was the hottest summer on record. My shower was supposed to be outdoors but it was 97 degrees and I was literally starting to feel sick so we had to move it indoors. I guess if I could have chosen to move it a few weeks earlier I would have but my shower was wonderful no matter what.

I'd say anything past 36 weeks would have been too late for me. I started to feel awful and there would have been no way I could have sat their and and opened gifts at that point.

i was 24 and 25 weeks (2showers) thank goodness, bed rest happened at 27 weeks and I had the twins at 30w.

at 24 weeks I still felt good

i was supposed to be 33w but i delivered a day before my scheduled shower...i ended up having it when the baby was a month old!

I was 28 weeks and thank god I had it early because my little guy came VERY unexpectedly at 32 weeks and 6 days. I'm so happy that I already had the shower. I had no indication that he was going to come early so you just never know. I recommend doing it sooner rather than later.

Funny< i was just thinking on the train this morning about "when is the ideal' time to ihave a baby shower. I had mine at 31 weeks and in a sense I was thinking its a bit anticlimactic since, once I had the shower, I feel like the baby should be coming any minute, but I still have some time!!! So I was thinking maybe it was a bit early-- BUT considering the likelihood of going early PLUS the fact that I am glad I have the extra time to set up the shower stuff/ return/ exchange as necessary etc. I think it was perfect timing-For me!

i was 35 w exactly. i think any later than that would have been too late.

I was 29 weeks and it was perfect. I was able to do everything, I wasn't tired at all, now at 33 weeks I'm slowing down a little bit, I'm very glad I had it early. I also have been able to put everything together and exchange everything without being too exhausted.

we had planned to do it at 30 weeks but my bff was going to be in town at 29 weeks so we planned around that

I will be 36 weeks... exactly 1 month before my estimated due date... I hope its not too late and I am feeling good. But its at my mom's house so I know its going to be pretty relaxed....

I wanted them to do it at 32 weeks. They scheduled it for 34 weeks because they thought 32 was too early. I begged them NOT to do it at week 36 or later.

Well I delivered at 31w6d very unexpectedly. So I had a 2 week old baby (in the NICU so he did not come TO the party) at my shower. It all worked out.

I was 32 weeks. I felt great

I will be 32 weeks. That gives me time do any returns/exchanges and set up the Nursery. Anything between 32 and 34 weeks would have worked out for me.

I had mine at 36 weeks. It was fine. I delivered my first at 37 weeks so it was close, but by no means too close. Everything worked out fine.

I was 28 weeks with my first... I only had to so early because I had to fly from CA (where we live) to NY (where the shower was) and my doctor felt that was the best time.

Had it at 32 weeks with DS.

Because of the HOLIDAYS, I will be having it at 29 weeks this time ("surprise" sprinkle)
