how many places to register?
I'm assuming that for the most part Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby will carry the same stuff. But as per someone's suggestion, I saw some cheaper, and as nice if not nicer, furniture at JcPenny's- but I doubt there's little else I would register for there. And I'm havinga hard time finding bedding I like at any of the stores, so I'm thinking I may need to start a separate online registry just for crib bedding and nursery accessories. How much is too much? How did you all handle it?

Re: how many places to register?
I did a registry at both BRU and BBB. I found furniture at another store...but my parents and the IL's are buying that for us, so I didn't need to register for it. I am going through the same dilemma with bedding right now, that at either of those places, I didn't love anything. I'm thinking I will just purchase the bedding on my own whereever and whenever I find something I like.
As for BRU and BBB, I registered at both, because some of the things we wanted were only at BBB and not at BRU.

Re: how many places to register?
With Sarah I registered at BRU and Target. The good thing was that I got coupons from both throughout her first year.
This time I registered for one thing at BRU, BBB, Target and Walmart, hoping that I'll get on their mailing list and get coupons again.

Re: how many places to register?
I'm fairly sure we are going to register at both BRU and BBB. I have finally started my registry for BRU and will go back to BBB to start that up as well
I was going to start a registry for Baby Depot (division of Burlington Coat Factory) but I now I don't see much to register for there -
For bedding - I agree the only nice sets I see are online, and even then I'm having huge problems finding even ONE set I like for a boy!! I am so picky!! But anyhow, I will most likely buy the bedding myself, rather than create a registry for an online store that most people will not check out anyhow -
Like Kim said, our parents are pretty much taking care of buying us the nursery furniture so no need for us to register for any of that
I'm finding this stuff the most overwhelming part of pregnancy I think!!

Re: how many places to register?
It's funny....because I had found a set of furniture I liked at BRU and I added it to my registry (so I would remember it when I went back) and my mother was like, take that off there...I don't want anyone to have a chance to buy it. It was only 17 or 18 weeks at that point, and I'm sure nobody even knew I started a registry, let alone buy something from it, especially furniture
Needless to say, I removed it, and wound up finding something somewhere else and my mom is coming to NJ on Saturday and we will go order it

Re: how many places to register?
We only registered at BRU. We don't even have BBB in St Louis. I found my bedding somewhere else and bought it, I didn't like anything at BRU. We already got the furniture delivered (our families bought it for us). I didn't expect it to come so early

Re: how many places to register?
Well my mother and MIL are paying for the shower and no offer has been made for the furniture. So if DH and I are going to have to buy that on our own, I would like to be able to register for the bedding and accessories that I want. All of that stuff would total a couple hundred dollars. Add that to furniture costs and that's

Re: how many places to register?
I registered at both Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby. I like BBB better but I have a lot of family in Brooklyn/Staten Island and there is no BBB near there.

Re: how many places to register?
I was originally going to register at Target and either BBB or BBRU, but then I heard that the return policy at Target is horrible - so I think that I will register at the other two...
