How many Oz of formula did/does your 3 month old eat?
My DS is eating around 5-6oz at a feeding. He gets about 2 bottles a day and is BF the rest of the time. I was just wondering if this is about right.

my son is a big eater. At 3 mos he was having 7ozs every 2-3 hours (so about 40oz or more a day). We started cereal and he dropped down to 32-36ozs a day.

My DD was taking 5oz bottles. Once in a while she would take a 7oz bottle.
She will be 4 months next week and is now taking 6oz bottles.

uh oh.. my dd isnt drinking as much as everyone elses... shes 3m and once in awhile shell do 5ozs, but most of the time its less... is that bad?

not at all, i wouldnt worry..my dr and many others dr i know have a formula for formula ;) its the number of months, plus 1-2 for the ounces, depending on the baby..
so at 3 months, between 4-5 oz would be normal..
my dd will be 5 months old next week and usually takes only 5 1/2 oz at a time, but sometimes, 4 and sometimes 6 or 6 1/2...totally depends..
shes NOWHERE near 36 oz a day..she nurses 1-2 times a day, and takes "about" 24 oz of formula.

i just wanted to re-answer this, because i officially counted today, and i was barely able to nurse  another story..but she got all formula today, and she ate 26 oz for the entire day..and trust me, shes full. and gaining healthily!!
