How many months was your DC when you started them on cereal?
Anyone start before 4 months. Why do they say to wait until 4 months?

We started Ali at 2 months, just a tiny bit
I think they usually want them to wait until they are a couple of months so that their stomachs are a little stronger to be able to handle it

6 mo. Just do a google search there is a lot of info on why some peds want to wait longer these days. This is especially the case if the baby is EBF.

Around 3 months. Ds was a big eater (BF for 5 months) and he wasn't a great sleeper, so we started giving cereal a little after 3months.

I started at 4 months but I know that I could have started sooner..I just waited for the ok from the doctor and his appointment was when he was 4 months.
My girlfriend started her son that is 10 days older than mine at 3 months...she is currently starting 2nd stage at 6 months.

We started at 2 months, but it's because DS has reflux. All his bottles had to be mixed with rice cereal to thicken his feed, and it helped him tremendously. We waited until 4 1/2 months to give him other cereals (oatmeal and barley) on a spoon. We originally wanted to wait until 6 months, but our pediatrician gave us the go ahead earlier since DS was already having rice cereal. Also, I didn't want his first experience eating on a spoon to be at daycare...so we decided to start a little earlier.

3.5 mths they say to wait bc their stomach need to be strong enough to handle it.
