How many hours between doses?
Just wondering how many hours do you wait when the prescription says twice a day?
I just started DS on amoxocillan for strep at around 10:30AM. Figured I'd wait till early evening like 4'ish for his next dose. Wondering what other people do?

If it's twice a day, it's every twelve hours
So today, give it before bed time.
If that's like 8 pm, give tomorrow at 8 am then again at 8pm
I like to space it out as evenly as possible so it's constantly in the system

I just did this with my son. We got his script at 11am I gave him the first dose as soon as we got home and then after dinner.
Now he is getting his medicine with breakfast and dinner.

with antibiotics, my ped usually says space it out as evenly as possible to keep a steady dose in their system.

I typically do breakfast and dinner which averages out to 10-12 hours apart.

This exactly, especially with antibiotics. I usually take around 7 AM and 7 PM so that I can eat with them.

We do 7am and 7pm. Except on the first day where the first dose goes as soon as possible and the last is after dinner.
