How many dresses for DD's Christening
If you had a reception after the church, did you change DD into another more comfy dress? or did she keep her Christening gown on during the reception?

I had a white dress with bright colored flowers on that she never wore so I changed her into that. That long dress was not comfortable on her. I could tell plus she barely fit the christening dress to begin with haha.

I changed her into a whitr dressy yet comfy outfit leggings with top with matching headband.

I ordered this onesie from Etsy to change DD into later on. It came out adorable, just have to figure out what to put on ger legs.

Dd had an insanely gorgeous christening gown for the service and then a really fancy party dress for the party. At the end of the party it was close to her bedtime so I changed her into pajamas.

I did 2 dresses.
She wore the beautiful Christening dress until she was cranky.
Then I changed her into a casual, comfy dress (nothing special, she had been wearing it all summer).

This! I did bring a change of clothes in case she got uncomfortable but she was fine.

With DD1 she stayed in her dress the whole time....it was July and warm and she slept through pretty much the whole party anyway.
DD2 we just had her christening this passed weekend. She fell asleep on the way to the party so I left her in the infant seat while she slept. Everyone saw her in the dress for a few min when she woke up then I changed her into a white and pink outfit (pants and shirt)

DD wore her dress all day & night but we did have a big time gap from church to the hall. Church was at 1pm then at home she changed. Cocktail hour was at 6 she wore it all night until 12am. It was a custom made mini wedding dress the godmother spent crazy amount of money on it and I wanted her to wear it as much as possible.

No DD here, just a DS, but I can tell you I got him out of that sweaty polyester/satin blend suit at the reception and into a really cute off-white velor jumper from Baby Gap.
