How many bath towels?

I'm having a "heated discussion" with DH. We currently have 6 bath towels, but I'd like to buy a few more so I'm not in a constant laundry loop. DH thinks more than 6 is excessive. How many bath towels do you have?

(Preferable just couples--I know people with kids obviously use/have more)

Re: How many bath towels?

I am ALWAYS buying towels. I have to have easily 50-60 towels in the house.

Re: How many bath towels?

We have 10 bath towels and then two fancy towels that hang on the towel bar. DH has strict rules not to use those.

Re: How many bath towels?

I think we have two very large bath sheets (hate those things) and around 8 bath towels.

It's perfect for us. I do laundry once every two weeks (we reuse each towel 2 or 3 times each).

Re: How many bath towels?

We have 10 towels. We do use each towel at least twice before it goes into the laundry.

Re: How many bath towels?

Sorry-- we have 6 and I think that's enough. HOw about getting just 2 more-- that's not that many and may have an impact on the laundry rotation.

Re: How many bath towels?

I have two bath sheets and 6 bath towels. I use one sheet and one towel all the time. DH uses one sheet. I wish I had gotten two more.

Re: How many bath towels?

We have 10 and the kids have their own towels. I also feel that after a few years they need to be replaced because they can and do get worn out.

ETS: I only have the larger bath sheets. We also have 4 smaller towels but they are never used...

Re: How many bath towels?

We have at least 10 for us to use, Not including the "SHOW TOWELS" and our hand towels that we always use. I want to by more but my DH thinks we have too many as it is. Maybe if they did the laundry they would think a little differently.

Re: How many bath towels?

we don't have a laundry in our apt so we have a lot. we got 6 for our wedding. i had about 10 from before the wedding. also we have beach towels that if necessary we will use. i hate doing towels in the laundry and we use our towels about 2 or 3 times and take a shower sometimes 2 times a day. if we are very lucky we can get away with doing towels once a month. i can't wait till we move and have a washing machine.

Re: How many bath towels?

We have 2 bathrooms and I have a decorative towel set for each one.

In addition, I have 4 sets of solid colored towels (bath sheet, hand towel, wash cloth).

We use towels more than once before putting them in the laundry.

Re: How many bath towels?

Thank you all! Since everyone seems to have more than us, I'm going out to buy a few more. If they're the same color as what we have maybe DH won't notice

I'd like to have a weekend where I don't HAVE to do laundry!!

Re: How many bath towels?

For us we have 4 bath sheets & 2 bath towels and then we have another 8 bath towels for guests.

Re: How many bath towels?

That we actually use... 4. We have another set for guests, but they've never been used (our current house it too small for guests). And we only have 1 bathroom.

Re: How many bath towels?

omg we have anywhere between 30 and 40 bathtowels... i cant imagine washing towels every single weekend

Re: How many bath towels?

i think i have over 10!

Re: How many bath towels?

Maybe 10, but I need more cause we get overnight guests alot, so I need some special overnight guest ones!

Re: How many bath towels?

Re: How many bath towels?

Re: How many bath towels?

We have 6 bath towels, 4 beach towels and 3 hand towels. I may buy 2 more but honestly I dont want to have to store more stuff

Re: How many bath towels?
