How long should I swaddle?
Alex will be 3 weeks old this Sunday and he loves to be swaddled? How long do I do this for? Another couple of weeks?? I am just afraid that he will get used to this and would like to be swaddled forever.

Well my son will be 6 months old on June 28th and he is still swaddled.. i have tried letting him free it just doesnt work. he is an arm flailer and now that he can put his feet in his mouth that is all he wants to do, so for his sake and mine, he is still swaddled.. and he sleeps from 7pm-7am.. (may wake for a bottle sometimes or wake up if his pee leaked) ... But i say.. If it ain't broke!

I swaddled Hayley until 5 months, then went back for a few weeks when she was 7 months. Now she is so active when she sleeps, she rolls over on to her tummy and then on to her side, I can't swaddle her anymore. (She will be 9 months on the 18th)

i stopped at 3 months...he started to break free from it and the blanket would be wrapped around his face..

We swaddled Isabella until 7 1/2 months old...her arms were her worst enemy...she was sleeping 11-12 hours a night and after beating ourselves up about it we realized we'd know when she was ready...sure enough, we did...
Our dr told us it wasn't an issue and now Bella is all over her crib...but still sleeping 11 hours a night...I am glad we didn't force it.

DS is almost 3 months and we're still swaddling. If I don't he won't sleep. I plan to keep swaddling as long as he needs it.
