How Long is your Commute?
and how has been with you being preggers?
Is it affecting your estmated last day of work, if so, how?
How have you been managing - have you made changes in your routine?

Re: How Long is your Commute?
mine is only 20-30 minutes, so I don't think it'll have an effect on how long I work.

Re: How Long is your Commute?
I am at around 1 hour 45 mins (one way) Between the ride to the train station and the LIRR/Subway, walk to the office.
I go tink before I leave work or home.
Try my hardest to hold it in-commute.
I have so many stairs and a whole lot of walking involved so I have slowed down and I do take one single elevator now at one point.
I am told my commute is too long and too hot and too arduous and I need to leave earlier than I wanted from work.
I always travel with a bottle of water and an apple just in case.

Re: How Long is your Commute?
I live on the south shore and work on the north shore so it takes me an hour each way in the morning, 2 hours total. It definitely is going to effect my last day of work because it is a tiring commute!! I'm taking off anywhere from 2-3 weeks before my due date in November. DH wants me to stop working in October but we will just see how big and how uncomfortable I feel at that point.

Re: How Long is your Commute?
I commute into the city from Queens. I'm lucky that I've been able to stop taking the subway for the most part and now take an express bus and a local bus.
I don't plan on stopping early though. I want to save all my time to be with my

Re: How Long is your Commute?
Mine is an hour each way. I doubt it will effect when I go out on leave. My mom works near me and DH is about 15 minutes from me so I can have someone take me if need be.

I'm the same way LIRR, subway then walk, and in this heat its really starting to get to me, and I'm not even that big, I can't imagine when I'm all bundled up in the winter how its going to be so its definitely a thought

Re: How Long is your Commute?
I commute 25 minutes to work by car, but I also frequently travel all over the state to meet with clients. Traveling can get pretty draining, especially when my meetings are at night. It's pretty slow in the summer so I haven't done much traveling recently. It will pick up again at the end of August/early September.

My commute is about 25 minutes by car. I can also work from home if I need to, so the commute won't stop me.

Re: How Long is your Commute?
My commute is 2 hours door to door. So far I have been doing ok except the sitting part. Sitting all day at my desk and sitting on the train is doing horrible things to my butt. DH told me I need to get an azz pillow! I think he might be right!
As for it affecting the date I will work until - I will have to talk to my doctor about that as I progress. I imagine I will have to stop commuting at some point.

45 mins on the LIRR and 15-20 mins on the subway. I work in downtown Manhattan.
I am not looking forward to the commute when I get really big

I always worked in the city, but after I got married, my office was moving to Jersey city. I knew we would start a family eventually. I left my Job in NYC for one on LI because I knew I would never last doing that commute. It was an hour and a half for me each way ( on a good day) . now I drive about 35 min in the AM and 30 min PM. not too bad.
