How long does it take to get the AFP test back?

How long does it take to get the AFP test back?
They took the blood Wednesday afternoon, it's now Monday and i still don't have the results, they haven't come in yet. Im nervous maybe they are retesting because it came back elevated or positive. I don't remember it taking this long when i was pregnant with Lauren.

I remember it taking about a week. If you went on Wed. I would give it a few more days.

is that the 16 week bloodwork?
I had mine drawn on Thursday the 10th and have not heard anything yet. They told me usually about a week and that no news is usually good news. I have my next appt this Thurs so I'm hoping they will go over the results then.

Thank you, the nurse said overnight results but she must have meant the thyroid levels not the AFP.
