#LongIsland SSA hearing office is in top 25 nationally for fastest turnaround time. Average wait =284 days. Long wait but could be worse.
Added info: ask your attorney if they can try to get an On The Record decision so that you will not have to wait for a hearing. There is no harm in requesting this and any attorney who is prepared is likely to want to try.
