How long does it take returns to post on CC from Macy's?
I returned a couple of items to Macy's this weekend and I noticed that the returns have not been credited to my card at this point - where returns to other stores were credited immediately. How long does it usually take?

I was always told that it depends on the bank for debit or credit card company for credit... Not the actual store, itself. But the institution in which you used for payment.
I have had credit cards where it pops up in a day or two. I have had ones where it takes seven days. I have had debit cards take 10 days. Like, it varies. But I have always seen it vary based on the payment method, not the store, if that makes sense.
I would start by calling the customer service number on the back of your card and ask what their standard turnaround time is for a refund/credit.
Just to make sure I'm reading this correctly, is this a MACY'S credit card?? Or a regular credit card, like Visa/Amex/Etc??

It's a regular Amex... I was surprised it wasn't even in my pending transactions. I will call them and check.
I just looked on the Macy's website (they were online orders) and they are showing as returned on that site at least so it's definitely a bank thing. Was worried since I wasn't sure where I put the receipts.

Oh I see.
Yes, Amex customer support should be able to shed some light on when you'll see that credit. Hopefully they can at least tell you if it was received on their end and is "processing" and give you an idea as to when you'll see the numbers on your end.
