How long does it take for the 1 hr. glusose and AFP results?
Tomorrow will be a week since I had my blood drawn... just wondering if I should call the dr tomorrow for the results or will it took longer for the results to come in? Or does the lab just send them? Will the dr's. office tell me the results over the phone even?

I am not sure about the AFP but I got the results of the 1 hr right away when I was pregnant with DS

I just had the AFP done. Went for the blood test on Friday, got the results back yesterday, Wednesday.

My AFP took like a week-
The 1 hour glucose? I'll let you know-I"m taking it Wednesday

Mine took about a week to get back to me. I kept calling for my results. They don't call unless you fail from what I understand. But they will give you the results over the phone as long as the doctor's reviewed them already.

wow that's really dumb. I would think that they should call you whether you pass or fail so that you KNOW. I take mine next week. I think I'll give it a week & a half and if I don't hear from them then I'll call. I couldn't possibly just sit around waiting for my next appointment.

I got my AFP results a week later and the glucose results about 3 days later.

You should call to get the results for peace of mind- but if they have no already called I'm willing to bet it's FINE!

I agree Ever-After! I'll call in them morning. I am an increased risk for Downs based on that test so I am anxious over here!!  I'll hope no news is good news!!!

The doctor called to tell me I failed the 1 hr about 3 days later. When I passed the 3 hour, I didn't find out until the next appointment.
