how long does it take for ...
the hospital paperwork to be filled out once you are admitted to L&D ???
We have no insurance (I'm sure everyone's seen the posts) and the latest update I have is that the Hospital itself told me to just come in when I think it's time. I'm just afraid DH is going to miss something if he's busy filling out tons of paperwork!!!

I went to L&D for contractioins so all my admittandance paperwork was filled out at that time. It prob took me about 15 minutes, they put me directly on the phone with the billing dept and I had to give her all my info, DH's and insurance info.
Make sure your DH has all the info handy, like your SS#, etc.

Do you see an OB? If so they can gie you the paperwork ahead of time I think. Or maybe the hospital has a website where you can download the paperwork and then fill it out at home?

i am to submit the paperwork i received from my OB to the hospital in the coming weeks. the hospital where i will deliver prefers this be done between 24 and 28 week mark.

Total time for us was 10-15 minutes but we had insurance.
I was in labor when I was admitted - they didn't have the forms ready. I spent about 5 minutes filling out the forms before I had to be sent up. DH spent another 5-10 minutes filling out the rest (and missed the birth).
eta. Keep a copy of the paperwork just in case they can't find it. We filled ours out but they didnt' have it.

When we had the tour of the hospital we stopped in admitting and got the paperwork. Filled it out at home and sent it in. I called them to make sure they got it and they did
