How long did your DC creep b4 they crawled?

Ellie really gets around with her soldier style creeping, but she's been at it for some time now and I'm wondering if maybe she's not going to go up on hands and knees? or maybe it just hasn't been long enough yet.

About two weeks. Actually, it took me putting her on her hands and knees for her to realize she COULD go on themChat Icon

hmmmm...didn't occur to me that I could do that. Maybe we'll try that and see what happens.

DS is 9 months and he still rolls, spins and creeps around! I've tried putting him on his hands and knees and nothing. My ped said alot of babies never crawl anymore b/c of the whole always on their backs thing. He said alot of dr's don't even consider crawling a milestone anymore. I think DS will crawl soon but probably not for long!

I just posted a topic about this. I started to put DD on her kness today trying to teach her she has knees. within about 10 minutes she learned to support herself on her knees and when I put her on her belly she tried for the first time to get on her knees!

This is what I mean by supporting herself on her knees:

My DS was doing the creeping and rolling to get around thing starting around New Years. He still does it but just the last few days he got his crawl going on. So cute! So 2 - 2 1/2 weeks... I think my DD did it for longer and my DS #1 is kind of a blur at this point LOL

I think about 2 weeks or so. First she scooted, then she got up on her hands and knees and rocked back and forth, then started lunging herself toward something and got a face full of carpet, then she finally started moving her hands and scooted her feet, now she has got it down pat. I'd say that whole process took about a month.
