how long...
can you remain a finger tip dialated??? I went to Dr. the other day and she said I was a finger tip dialated. Just wondering how long that can last???

it could last weeks. sometimes a day and sometimes 4 weeks. Totally hard to say.

I was a finger tip dilated at 36 weeks and still was at 40 weeks. I went into labor at 40 weeks and 5 days and arrived at the hospital 3-4cm.

Me too! I think I've been a fingertip since my first internal at 36 weeks, so that's 5 internals at that size.

Thanks ladies! I was hoping that it ment something will start soon!!! oh well I guess it basically means nothing. 
I have been feeling tightening all day today.... hmmm we'll see.

I have a friend who has been a cm dialated for about 3 weeks. SHe is not allowed to swim. Is that what your doc said too, or is hers overly caustious? Just curious
