Argh! I hate this rain!!! I think we caused it because we washed both cars and had irrigation installed in our yard, the grass we planted 2 weeks ago is totally drowning!! I had to wade out in a mid-chin deep lake to get my car to the road and then load up the kids to take my son to school and it was not fun to take the baby out in this weather!!

I don't know if it's the water that's in here is actually the ocean, but it smells like it!!Chat Icon DH and my FIL have just continously been vacuuming everything up with the wet vac and everytime they finish, more comes in - my inlaws said I can sleep in their house (upstairs) but I don't want to. I have to get to sleep soon though because I have to be at work at 7:30!

Well I was soaked up to my shins on Wednesday because I park my car at Shea and catch the train there for work every morning - and it doesnt have a sufficient drainage system! My back was wet, my butt, my underwear, my pants were so wet I was weighed down all day and freezing!

For those of you who have flooded basements - I hope nothing was ruined in the processChat Icon

Re: How has this Non-Stop Rain affected you?

I was moody, am sick, exhausted from my commute (I am so alert when I drive in the rain it was rediculous - watching the car behind me, in front of me beside me) I think my brakes have gone bad, it took 40 minutes for me to get from the Loop Parkway to my apartment in Long Beach , I drove down three streets that flooded and had to turn around.

But I woke up and it is not raining Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I couldn't get to my music studio to teach today because it's flooded! I feel bad for anyone getting married at Flowerfield today because my studio is behind there, and there was no way to get in the front entrance!
