How far apart do you give the food with the bottle?

I dont know if that question was phrased correctly. My ped wants me to give DS his food first and then a bottle. I know most people do the bottle first, but this is working for us so far. Do you give your baby the food and bottle right on top of each other or do you space it out a little? I usually give DS about 1/2 hour from when I started. If I gave him cereal at 7am then I'll give the bottle at 7:30am. I feel like I should space it a little bit so he can give himself time to feel a little full. I feel like if I give him the bottle right away, he might over eat and spit up but not realize it yet, KWIM? But then there are times where hes still so hungry after eating then I give him a bottle after only 5mins. What do you do?

I usually wait an hour after the food to give her the bottle. But if she is hungry I give it to her sooner

I'm BF but we just started on oatmeal with my son a few weeks ago and the ped said the same thing- food first, then nurse him. At first I was doing the oatmeal at feeding time and nursing right after, but that didn't seem to work well for him because he was too hungry and the oatmeal wasn't filling him up fast enough. So now we do the oatmeal about a half hour to an hour before nursing him. HTH!

I do food and then bottle right after. I asked my ped about it about he said whatever we are comfortable with and whatever works with our schedule.

We just started the whole food thing, so he does not get much. I give him the bottle immediately after.
