I knew this week that today was MIL and FIL's anniversary. But earlier today MIL texted me that her parakeet died. So when DH reminded me that we should call her, I was thinking of the bird. So I call and say I'm so sorry her bird died and we talked for so long. Then she said, "yeah, everyone forgot my anniversary" I'm like Oops! I felt soooooo bad! I just got sidetracked because her bird died! I felt awful, but she understood. Her other son completely forgot her anniversary. I still felt bad
