How does FastPass work for MNSSHP?
Is FastPass available? Can we reserve in advance?

There is no FP for the Halloween party.
The tickets say the park opens for ticket holders at 7; however, unofficially Disney lets party goers enter by 4:30 or so.
Regular ticket holders will be escorted out at 7 so that only party goers are left. We've never had the need for FPs at the party.

You can enter at 4pm and get a wrist band. Don't be fooled into thinking it won't be busy though. Depending on the date you book it for (weekends are much busier than weekdays), it can be very crowded, and the lines can get long for the really popular headliner rides. We are going on a Friday this year, and I fully expect it to be packed.

We'll be there on Halloween, , but I'm not worrying about rides because we will be in the park that whole day anyway. I'm just interested in the special festivities and trick or treating with my kids that night.

Did you get your tix yet? If not, I would ASAP, Halloween usually sells out. kennythepirate.com has some good party tips!

I did actually..........a few months ago!! I'm a crazy planner, I leave nothing to chance and nothing to the last minute!!
ETA - I was on his site a few days ago reading up. MNSSHP sounds like so much fun! I've been to Disney countless times but that's one celebration I've never actually done yet. I can't wait!

Re: How does FastPass work for MNSSHP?
We didn't use a regular park ticket for the day of the party. We went in at 4 or 4:30 for the Halloween party and stayed until they closed, so we knew we wouldn't be there all day and then until fireworks. We hung out at the hotel during the day, went in the pool, etc. and then went to MK at 4ish.
They only ask for the Halloween party ticket when you go in for the party, you don't need a regular park ticket, so we used the park ticket for another full day at the park, since it seemed like more bang for the buck.

Thanks - we are going next Tues night.
That's good to know we can enter early!

Re: How does FastPass work for MNSSHP?
I just wanted to let ya'll know that Walgreen's has a bunch of Disney Halloween stuff, perfect for the parks. It seems each location has different things, so check a few! I bought Mickey/Minnie Halloween tote bag for the candy (better than the plastic ones they give), and a bunch of Nightmare Before Christmas stuff (light spinners, autograph book, etc.). JC Penney also had the tote bags for $3.

Good luck to you on Halloween! We went Friday night, the party was sold out, and the crowds were INSANE. Wall to wall people, character lines were SOO long! My kids dressed as Jack and Sally, and unfortunately the line was closed out later in the night when we wanted to see them. We only ended up seeing Lotso, Buzz, and Mickey in their lines. Everyone else was just really long.
Trick or treating was condensed and moved to inside areas since it rained, so those lines were insane also!
Make sure you do the Villains dance party over in Frontierland, that was a lot of fun, and surprisingly the line wasn't THAT long since I don't think anyone knew what it was. Lots of character interaction in there, and dancing with them! Parade was really cool, too. Have fun! Just pack your patience

OMG!!.........love that your kids dressed as Jack and Sally!! That's ADORABLE!!!! Too bad they didn't get to meet them. I read that's one of the hardest characters to meet. They said to line up hours before they even start but I just can't see waiting hours for a two minute meet n greet.
Thanks for all of the info!! That's what I am afraid of on Halloween. But I did read a few places that the day of the party the park is usually quieter because they close early for the party and people don't want to pay for admission AND the party in the same day. So I'm hoping we have a nice day and then we can tough it out at night!
I hate Disney crowds. It makes the experience so much less enjoyable. I got spoiled living down there for a few years, there were times we went and the park was so quiet they didn't even make us go back on line to ride again. Aaaahhhh............the good old days!!

I wanted to get in the line at 5ish, but my son has special needs, and there was no way he was going to wait 2 hours to meet Jack, even as much as he would have enjoyed the actual meeting part! One cast member chased down my daughter, kept yelling "Sally, Sally"and gave her a Mickey pretzel because she said her costume was so cute, that was the highlight of her night LOL.
I dislike the crowds also, but I always expect the worst and hope for the best Hallowishes was neat, loved the music choices! Have fun when you go!!

They were letting a lot of people who had Tues tix switch for Fri since it was pouring so hard for the start of the party. It ended up clearing up by 8 so it was fine (and not super crowded since a lot of people backed out - and Tuesday is an empty night to begin with).
Other than being wet - it was a fun time!
