How does a contract with a RE work?
Can I specify I only want the contract for 4-6wks? We are going to give selling a shot (I think) but if it doesn't sell right away, then I'll try again after the New Year (b/c I'm due in Nov. with #2).

I wouldn't think so; the minimum term I've heard is 6 mos. That said, you can tell them to pull the listing after 4-6 weeks, you just can't sell it without owing them the agreed-upon commission for the rest of the term so that may suit your needs.
