How do you remove tips?
I got white tips put on last week for a wedding. I think thats what the lady called them. Probably acrylic because it was that powder into a paste on top of the tips.
Anyway, they are getting annoying. I'm not along nail person at all. I cant weed the garden, I keep stabbing DS and tonight was the last straw... making meatballs and having to pick raw meat out from under my nails was too gross.
They are still pretty on there so I cant just rip them off. What can I do?

You need to soak them in acetone...for a while. Then they will just kinda disintegrate off your nails, if you soak them long enough. You may have to gently scrape them a little.
eta: and not just regular nail polish remover...you need pure acetone.

How do you remove tips?
When I finally removed the ones from my wedding, I soaked them in acetone for awhile. They were still a major PITA to remove and this was after I let them grow. I've seen nail technicians use metro cards or other thin cards to go in between the tip and the real nail. It hurts like a biaatcchh and after pain I felt removing them the last time, I will never ever get tips again. And also because my nails were so thin and brittle after that I had to wear bandaids on each of my fingers for days.

Thanks!
I vaguely remember going through this the last time after my own wedding.

Re: How do you remove tips?
Honestly, I would just go to the nail salon. . .mine charges me $5 and then I get a regular manicure. They have the pure acetone, and heat it up, let you soak for a while and then file them off. It still hurts but it is so much easier letting them do it!
