How do you play with your baby?

DS is 6 weeks old and I'm trying to play with him as much as possible when he's up. I put him on his play mat, sing songs to him and make faces. I'm just curious what other moms do to play with their kids to see if there is anything else I can do!

I was thinking about this the other day too! I just put him on play mat (he bats at the hanging down things), we read, I sing to him, we make faces at each other. He is 8 weeks old.

DS is 6 weeks old, too. I think what you're doing is about all you can do! I also show him toys, look in the mirror, tummy time. He likes to swing in his swing and looks at the mobile and mirror above him. I consider that an activity!

They're still so young, but as they get older, they'll be interested in toys more which will make it easier on us.

All of those things are awesome! Also, when my dc was little I would prop them up on the table in a seat and let them watch me go about the day cooking, cleaning ect...they love to observe!

When DD was that little, I would put on my Ipod and dance with her (slow dance mostly lol), sing, tummy time, activity mat, and not much else. I also read to her from Day 1, and at 18 months she LOVES books.

At that age not much. They slept after feedings through to the next. I showed them the tree and stuff (maybe a few weeks older). I talked to them. Did tummy time on me. Crib toys, etc.

I would sing to DD, talk to her. Tummy time on my chest, and cuddle her always.
